It's been a short month due to Spring break, but we've been busy! When we came back from spring break we talked about Easter and why we celebrate it. Our Easter egg was a very good time and the weather was terrific. The following week we continued to talk about spring and the kind of weather that we have in spring. Some of the books that we read were "Rain, "Clouds", "Wind", and "Raindrop Plop." Our circle time discussions focused on why we need rain, the purpose of clouds and the purpose of wind. Our units for the next 2 weeks will be bugs and the Kentucky Derby.
The kids have made great progress this school year! All of them are writing their names, or at least part of their names. They have learned some of the letters of the alphabet and a few of them can even tell you what letter certain words start with. I'm proud of each and every one of them and their accomplishments.
